Everybody Loves Raymond's Patricia Heaton and Will & Grace's Sean Hayes both
winners last year presided over the 5:30 am PT nomination announcement
ceremony Thursday in Los Angeles. Considering the early call time, Heaton
was relieved to once again hear her name announced as a nominee. "It was
worth getting up," she joked on E!. "It was a bad year to give up caffeine,
but it was worth it."
Hollywood.com: Actress Patricia Heaton of Everybody Loves
Raymond--a nomination presenter and nominee herself for best actress in a
sitcom--told Hollywood.com: "I have to admit, it's something when you accept
an invitation to come and announce. There's that thing in the back of your
head that you're gonna be standing there not nominated...figuring out how to
get out of it gracefully, so thank God it all turned out this way."
Zap2it- At the end of the announcement, both Hayes and Heaton
learned that they had each been nominated; Hayes for Outstanding Supporting
Actor In a Comedy Series and Heaton for Outstanding Lead Actress In a Comedy
Series. Both won these same awards last year.
"I like how they left my name to the last -- that was a bit cruel," said
Heaton, obviously relieved her name was included.
