Emmy Award-winning actress Patricia Heaton
(Everybody Loves Raymond) hosts an uproarious night
of stand-up comedy featuring some of the most gifted
comedians in show business today. The lineup
showcases seven world class comedians including
Taylor Mason, Thor Ramsey, Michael Jr., Teresa
Roberts Logan, Gilbert Esquivel, Joby Saad and Jeff
Allen – who all give brilliant performances. Who
says Christians aren't funny? If only church were
this funny, maybe we'd all go more!
Thou Shalt Laugh host Patricia Heaton is an
award-winning actress and is best known for her
portrayal of Debra Barone on the top-rated
television series Everybody Loves Raymond, which
aired for 9 seasons. She was most recently seen in
the romantic comedy, The Engagement Ring, which
aired on TNT and she also revived the role of Paula
in a contemporary version of the original Neil Simon
classic The Goodbye Girl.
Thor Ramsey's smart, jaded and no nonsense brand of
comedy has made him a staple on the comedy circuit.
He has toured nationally on the Outrageous Comedy
Tour and has been in concert with the likes of Drew
Carey.
Powerful, clever and refreshing, Michael Jr.'s
unique comedy approach has landed him on such
national shows as The Tonight Show With Jay Leno and
Jimmy Kimmel Live. He has performed with other top
comedians including Gary Shandling, Cedric the
Entertainer, Tim Allen, Ray Romano and Brad Garrett.
With over 20 years of performing live for audiences
around the country, comedian Jeff Allen was a
featured performer at George W. Bush's Presidential
Inauguration and is currently headlining his own
national tour.
Teresa Roberts Logan's unique, edgy, original style
and friendly stage presence appeals to audiences of
all backgrounds and has landed her appearances on
such television programs as A&E's Evening at the Improv and HBO's Comic Relief.
Joby Saad, The Village Idiot, is known for his
unusual brand of theatrical stand-up comedy
utilizing his extraordinary facial expressions and
comedic physicality. Saad has toured with top names
in the industry including Roseanne Barr, Jeff
Foxworthy, Chris Rock and Adam Sandler.
Gilbert Esquivel's urban and edgy comedy has him
constantly on the road performing in Las Vegas and
around the country, as well as on such television
shows as The Apollo Comedy Hour.
Using his own brand of puppets and ventriloquism,
Taylor Mason has been entertaining audiences of
every age and walk of life from Las Vegas to church
basements. His appearance on 1991's Star Search won
him the $100,000 grand prize and launched his career
– most recently earning him an Emmy Award for his TV
pilot, Bananas.
Thou Shalt Laugh was directed by Phil Cooke and
