Former "Everybody Loves
Raymond" mom Patricia Heaton
says she was delighted to
take on a romantic role in
the new TNT movie, "The
Engagement Ring."
Executive produced by
Heaton and her real-life
husband, David Hunt, the
film is about two
generations of California
wine-makers caught up in the
drama of family feuds and
lost loves.
"I loved the script," the
47-year-old actress told UPI
in a recent phone interview.
"That was one of my big
things: It had to be
super-super romantic. ...
The first reason I wanted to
do it was because it was set
in Napa," she explained.
"Then we started working on
the script and it had such a
wonderful 'Moonstruck'
quality to it and I don't
see a lot of that on
television. It's sort of
this comic opera. It has
really high-running
emotions. It's really funny
and multi-generational and
so I was really excited
about all of those
elements."
Co-starring Tony LoBianco,
Vincent Spano and Lainie
Kazan, "The Engagement Ring"
is set to air Nov. 28.
